Tata Communications launches AI-ready network, edge and orchestration platforms for enterprises

Tata Communications has launched a new AI-ready suite of network, edge and orchestration platforms aimed at helping enterprises deploy and scale artificial intelligence workloads across distributed digital environments with greater control, visibility and security.

The new portfolio includes three offerings, IZO+ Multi Cloud Network, Edge Distribution Platform, and ThreadSpan, designed to work together to connect, protect and manage enterprise infrastructure spanning cloud, edge and hybrid networks.

The company said the suite is built on its “digital fabric” architecture, which integrates network, cloud and cybersecurity capabilities, and is intended to address rising infrastructure complexity as AI workloads move from pilot stages into core business operations.

Enterprises scaling AI are increasingly facing challenges around unpredictable performance, rising connectivity costs, fragmented visibility and security risks as workloads spread across multiple clouds and geographies. Tata Communications said point solutions are no longer sufficient, and organisations now require end-to-end infrastructure designed specifically for AI-scale operations.

A.S. Lakshminarayanan, MD and CEO of Tata Communications, said the new platforms are aimed at simplifying digital infrastructure design and operations for enterprises adopting AI. “Digital infrastructure is becoming increasingly complex, and AI is amplifying that challenge,” Lakshminarayanan said. “With our AI-ready offerings and digital fabric, we are delivering a secure and unified foundation that helps enterprises reduce complexity, improve control and scale AI with confidence.”

The IZO+ Multi Cloud Network platform focuses on connectivity across distributed cloud environments. The company said it provides policy-driven routing, built-in optimisation and unified performance visibility to help enterprises manage how data moves between clouds while controlling cost and performance.

The Edge Distribution Platform is designed to support real-time and latency-sensitive AI applications by bringing content delivery, security and compute capabilities closer to end users and data sources. According to the company, the platform combines edge delivery with integrated protection for applications, models and APIs, targeting use cases that require millisecond-level responsiveness.

The third component, ThreadSpan, is positioned as a cross-domain orchestration and observability layer. It provides a single control plane across hybrid and multi-vendor environments, combining network, cloud and security visibility with AI-driven orchestration and automation. The platform is designed to help enterprises move from reactive operations to predictive and policy-driven management, improving audit readiness and operational efficiency.

Tata Communications said the three platforms are modular but complementary, allowing enterprises to adopt them independently or as an integrated stack depending on their architecture and AI deployment strategy.

With the launch, the company is targeting global enterprises seeking to operationalise AI across distributed environments, where network performance, edge processing and unified control are becoming critical infrastructure requirements rather than optional enhancements.
