Emids Names Seth Kutty as Chief AI Officer

Healthcare-focused digital engineering firm Emids has appointed Seth Kutty as its Chief AI Officer, as the company sharpens its push to help healthcare organisations move from pilot projects to enterprise-scale, outcome-led artificial intelligence deployments.

Kutty, who brings more than two decades of experience across healthcare, enterprise software and global technology services, will be responsible for leading Emids’ AI and data strategy across payer, life sciences and health technology customers. He has previously held senior roles at organisations including Kaiser Permanente, Tesla, VMware and Intuit, where he worked with leadership teams to convert data and AI investments into measurable business results.

At Emids, Kutty will focus on embedding AI into real-world healthcare environments by anchoring systems in healthcare-specific ontologies that reflect clinical workflows, regulatory requirements and operational decision-making. The company said this approach is central to its Service as a Software model, which blends healthcare domain expertise, forward-deployed context engineers and AI-enabled platforms to deliver predictable, production-grade outcomes rather than standalone tools or experiments.

A key part of that strategy is Pacca AI, Emids’ agentic AI platform designed to integrate intelligence directly into core healthcare operations. Kutty will oversee how such platforms are designed, governed and scaled across customer environments, with a strong emphasis on interoperability, trust and compliance.

“In healthcare, the winning AI won’t be the fanciest. It’ll be the most context-aware,” said Abhishek Shankar, Chief Executive Officer, Emids. “Seth knows how to build AI that thrives in real workflows and real regulation. He’ll help us convert AI ambition into outcomes by hardwiring healthcare ontology and Forward Deployed Context Engineers into every deployment.”

Kutty is also a repeat entrepreneur, having previously founded and scaled a data and AI services company to a successful exit. His background spans AI platform architecture, analytics modernisation and enterprise adoption, with a focus on governance and data integration, areas that remain major hurdles for healthcare providers and payers seeking to deploy AI at scale.

“I’m excited to join Emids at a time when healthcare organizations are looking to move AI from experimentation to real value,” said Seth Kutty, Chief AI Officer at Emids. “Emids’ focus on grounding AI in domain context, and forward-deployed expertise creates a strong foundation for building AI that reflects how healthcare works. I look forward to working with clients and teams to scale AI in ways that are practical, trusted, and sustainable.”

The appointment comes as healthcare providers, insurers and life sciences companies globally look to use AI to improve clinical outcomes, reduce costs and streamline operations, but face challenges around data quality, interoperability and regulation. By elevating AI to the C-suite and tying it closely to domain context and operational workflows, Emids is positioning itself to play a larger role in shaping how healthcare AI is delivered and scaled in the coming years.
