Confluent has been named a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: Streaming Data Platforms, Q4 2025, earning the highest possible scores in 14 evaluation criteria, according to Forrester Research.
In the report, Forrester highlighted Confluent’s strengths across key areas including messaging, processing, governance, developer experience and fault tolerance, positioning the company as a strong fit for enterprises looking to scale streaming data use cases with enterprise-grade controls and tooling. Forrester identified Confluent as one of the 15 most significant streaming data platform providers evaluated.
The report noted the growing importance of streaming data in enabling real-time decision-making as organisations increasingly deploy AI-driven applications. With traditional data architectures proving too slow for these demands, enterprise-wide streaming platforms are becoming critical to ensuring AI systems operate on fresh, reliable data.
“Confluent excels across the majority of capabilities, including messaging, processing, governance, developer experience, and fault tolerance,” the report stated, adding that the platform supports event-driven enterprise applications with ongoing innovation.
Jay Kreps, Co-founder and CEO of Confluent, said the recognition reflects the role of data streaming in powering modern, real-time applications and AI systems. He said customers rely on Confluent’s platform to stream, connect, process and govern data wherever it is needed, enabling faster insights and smarter decision-making at scale.
Confluent pioneered the data streaming category to help businesses move away from point-to-point integrations and towards continuous, real-time data flows. Its platform supports data streaming across environments, with capabilities for AI-driven intelligence, automation and cross-cloud flexibility aimed at improving operational efficiency and business outcomes.
Forrester awarded Confluent the highest possible scores across multiple current-offering categories, including event-driven agents, platform management, resource optimisation and performance architecture, as well as strategy elements such as vision, innovation, roadmap and partner ecosystem. The report also noted above-average customer feedback, with users citing strong cloud-native deployment options, rapid innovation and responsive customer support.
