Synology Inc., a global leader in data storage and protection, marked its 25th anniversary with two major milestones: an 80% revenue growth in the enterprise segment and the launch of new cyber-resilient storage and protection solutions tailored for large organizations. The announcements underscore Synology’s growing influence in the enterprise market and its commitment to strengthening cyber resilience amid rising threats.
At the heart of the expansion is the PAS7700, Synology’s first all-NVMe enterprise storage solution, which sets a new performance benchmark. Designed with end-to-end NVMe architecture, the PAS7700 delivers up to 2 million IOPS and 30 GB/s throughput with latency below one millisecond. The system’s active-active architecture ensures continuous availability, while robust encryption and enterprise-grade resilience make it ideally suited for mission-critical workloads in sectors such as banking, media, and government.
“Businesses today face an increasingly complex IT environment—hybrid cloud infrastructures, growing compliance demands, and constant cyber threats,” said Antoine Yang, Regional Sales Head at Synology. “Our enterprise data management survey reveals that more than one-third of businesses have experienced data loss or security incidents, over 76% are not confident in handling ransomware, and nearly 60% report cost pressures as a major challenge.”
The company’s newly released Enterprise Data Management Survey highlights both the urgency and scale of the challenge. Findings show that while 72% of enterprises prioritize security when deploying storage solutions, 64% are actively investing in backup and protection strategies. Yet significant gaps remain: 76% of organizations admit low confidence in their ransomware readiness, and nearly 60% cite financial pressures as a barrier to robust cyber resilience.
These insights align with Synology’s push to simplify and strengthen enterprise-grade data protection. According to the survey, users consistently reported stronger security (79.4%), easier management (78.8%), and greater reliability (78.5%) with Synology solutions. The company has seen particularly strong adoption in India, where industries such as manufacturing, finance, and public services are accelerating digital transformation and demanding scalable, compliance-ready data platforms.
Looking ahead, Synology announced that it will embed AI-powered capabilities into its collaboration tools. The Synology Office Suite will integrate features like optical character recognition (OCR), semantic search, summarization, and real-time translation. Importantly, these will be powered by on-premises AI servers, ensuring data privacy while enabling organizations to collaborate more intelligently and securely.
“Security is now the number one priority for IT leaders worldwide,” said David Liu, Country Manager of the SAARC Region. “Our 2025 portfolio demonstrates Synology’s commitment to delivering simple, scalable, and secure solutions that empower businesses to safeguard their most critical assets and thrive in the digital future.”
With its 25-year legacy and aggressive expansion into enterprise solutions, Synology is positioning itself as a critical partner for organizations navigating rapid data growth and intensifying cyber threats. The combination of performance, resilience, and forward-looking AI features underlines its vision: to make enterprise-grade protection accessible, secure, and future-ready.
